Pakistan Bridal Fashion Week 2017 was one of the most glamorous fashion events of Pakistan this year. Country’s top designers came out in full force during the glittering weekend in Lahore at the Pakistan Fashion Design Council (PFDC) L’Oreal Paris Bridal Week 2017, which concluded on October 16.

More than 60 bridal and couture designers showcased the best of modern and traditional Pakistani bridal wear, along with makeup and jewellery trends at  PFDC L’Oreal Paris Bridal Week (PLBW).

Dozens of shows and celebrity showstoppers, the Bridal Weel included almost as many celebrities as fashion icons.

Ahmad Sultan, Sara Rohale Asghar, SanaSafinaz, Faiza Saqlain, Misha Lakhani, Mahgul, Sania Maskatiya and Nomi Ansari emerged as the top designers.

But in this post, we are going to share our favourite celebrity showstoppers and memorable moments from the Show.

One of the most exciting celebrity moments was when the emerging talent Aima Baig appeared at PFDC L’Oreal Paris Bridal Week 2017. The singer-turned-model gleamed on the runway in a beautiful shiny gray dress. She received applause from fashion critics for her ‘princess’ avatar during ramp walk. Aima was the showstopper for the designer Ahmad Sultan.

Mehwish Hayat showed up in a glittering red and silver number, with minimal jewelry and makeup. She made a captivating entrance, enchanting the audience with her beaming smile. Mehwish Hayat was wearing the dress by Sara Rohale Asghar.

Multi-talented actress-turned-model Hareem Farooq was the stunning showstopper for the designer Faiza Saqlain at the PFDC. Faiza Saqlain showcased her bridal collection ‘Heer’ – an ode to the iconic Heer – which was synonymous with beauty and elegance. Hareem Farooq looks no less than a modern-day Heer in this gorgeous bright dress which incorporates dabka, mukeshtilla, embellishments and cutworks. Just love her style!

The gorgeous Hocane sisters simply nailed the ramp with their confidence and style. Urwa Hocane and Mawra Hocane performed a cute bhangra as they walked for the Ivy collection.The girls left the audience star-struck!

Nomi Ansari’s ‘Qubool Hai’  theme at PLBW was enchanting and exuberantly reminiscent of royal courts. The showstopper Maya Ali wore a pretty pink number from the latest collection. Maya indeed looked liked a Mughal era princess in this gorgeous light-coloured dress which features some exquisite handwork. The collection was accompanied by some beautiful jewelry by Hamna Amir.

The Gorgeous Armeena Khan was the showstopper for Misha Lakahani at PFDC L’Oreal Paris Bridal Week Lahore. Armeena looked stunning in a damp-red ensemble, beautifully combining the modern and traditional designs. With her artistic showstopper look and elegant dress, she stole all hearts.

Finally, the couple that left the audience completely star-struck! The beautiful onscreen couple Sajal Aly and Ahad Raza Mir walked for Nickie Nina. The collection was inspired by Ottoman art and mixed with a modern twist of delicate motifs and vibrant colours.
