Winter is now truly upon us, which means it is time for fluffy sweaters, warm mufflers, coats, jackets and boots. This is the right time to supplement your wardrobe with must-have winter pieces.

We consider style is as important for men as it is for women. However, men’s fashion remains largely overlooked. This is why we have wisely and specifically focused on men’s winter fashion 2016 so you can plan out your winter wardrobe and stay stylish and warm at the same time.

Read on for the top trends you need to master now for the winter season:

Focus on Copper

Autumnal hues of black, grays, navies and dark greens were seen all over the runways this year. However, the colour that was the most popular from the palette was the very classy copper. The orangey-brown shade is a must have for the perfect wardrobe this winter!

When we talk about luxury and opulence, fur pops up into our minds. It had a strong presence on the runways and is still being worn in the form of black and brown knee length coats.

Coats

Coats are all the rage this season! The three-quarter length coat reaching just below the knee gives a sharp look. No coat type was trending more than the duffle coat. Camel colour was used by most famous designers. Oversized coats were worn mostly in cashmere and alpaca wool.

While the current roll-necks still remain in fashion, they will soon transition into funnel or slightly lower mock turtle necks namely roll-necks without the roll, either in zip-up or slip-over form. Slide these under a slouchy coat with jeans.

Jackets

The trend of bomber jackets is still alive and reaching its peak in the winter season. It is not only well crafted out of luxurious velvets, leathers and wools, but has rich embellished work incorporated into the design. These bomber jackets come with intricate hand embroideries and interesting badges.

Neckerchiefs

Neckerchiefs are fast replacing the big woolly scarves to protect your neck from the chills! Something in cotton-silk mix busting with pattern or colour- or a bandana can be used by letting its tails hang loose over one’s jumper. Also, the highlight of the winter fashion was the high shine fabric silk which was easily carried by wearing it in shirts.

Shearling

Shearling has been heavily featured in street fashion. It’s spotted in lighter tones, alongside tans and softer browns. It matches well with denim for a casual look that is incredibly versatile.
The relatively slim men out there will be able to slip on a pair of flares, looser wool trousers (wider at the thigh and foot) that are easy to wear and look fabulous!

Everything this winter calls for more detailing and is getting bigger in terms of style by the day. Soles are getting thicker, stacked and rubberised, hiking boots are the season’s essential, worn with tailored suits and tracksuit trousers.

Gloves have been a fashion statement among nobility. Gloves are becoming popular this season. For a sleek look, adorn your hands with leather gloves that will add shine and offer a retro feel. A more playful look can be sported by wearing wool or knitted versions.

So gear up and dress to impress, looking absolutely stylish and feeling comfortable at the same time!
