Azerbaijan Air Force pilots complete training in Pakistan

Azerbaijan Air Force pilots trained at the Pakistan Air Force Academy, strengthening military collaboration between the two friendly countries

The pilots of the Air Force of Azerbaijan have successfully completed training at the Pakistan Air Force Academy (PAF) Asghar Khan.

The graduation ceremony was attended by the representatives of the Military Attaché Apparatus of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Air Officer Commanding PAF Academy, Air Vice-Marshal Hamid Rasheed Randhawa and the leadership of the Flying Instructors’ School.

Air Vice-Marshal H. Randhawa congratulated the graduates and noted that the ever-increasing cooperation between Pakistan and Azerbaijan in the military-educational and related fields between the air forces of the two countries, contributes to strengthening the combat readiness of our armies.

Azerbaijan’s military attaché, Colonel Mehman Novruzov, on behalf of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense, expressed gratitude to the Pakistani side for the assistance provided to Azerbaijani officers as part of the Pilot Training Program.

Over the past decade, Pakistan’s military experts trained about a hundred military units of Azerbaijan.

In the past, the Central Asian country has also acquired 10 Super Mushshak aircraft from Pakistan. Azerbaijan is also holding talks with Pakistan to purchase JF-17 Thunder fighter aircraft.
