Pakistanis welcomed the New Year in style with celebration and beautiful fireworks

Pakistanis celebrated New Year’s Eve with passion and fanfare as tremendous celebrations were seen in different parts of the country with the biggest one in Jarachi, Lahore and Islamabad.

Islamabadians welcomed the New Year’s Eve with music, food and fireworks. As the clock ticked 12:00 AM, sky in many parts of the city was lit in different colours as a grand show of fireworks was held across the city.

In Islamabad, a number of bonfires, food and music festivals were held across the city to celebrate the New Year. The biggest display of fireworks was organized by Giga Mall and Bahria Enclave Islamabad.

Thousands of residents of Islamabad and Rawalpindi gathered with their families to witness the spectacular demonstration of fireworks. City’s malls, markets, bazaars and all the official buildings in the twin cities were decorated with neon lights.

Countless revellers switched into party mode at the Bahria Enclave Islamabad to enjoy dazzling firework display.

Bahria Town has a tradition of celebrating all the national and social events with great fanfare, featuring fireworks which remain its hallmark. In line with its tradition, the Bahria Town Lahore arranged New Year celebrations at its Eiffel Tower with beautiful fireworks, music and games to welcome 2018.

In the Bahria Town enchanting performances of international standard dancing fountains and music were held to set the tone of the night.

The capital police took high measures to make sure the safety of Islamabad for the New Year celebrations. An official of the capital Territory administration told that over two thousands police officials had been deployed around 280 markets, 6 entry and exit points and 30 open places of the Islamabad.

The bomb disposal squad officers also checked celebrations venues such as F-10 market, Kohsar market, and Jinnah Super. Undeterred by the attendance of police officials youngsters on motorbikes and 4 wheelers thronged to shopping area and the roads of various areas on the beats of Pakistani, western and Indian music.
