SadaPay makes Freelancing easier for Pakistanis with Apple Pay integration

SadaPay, a Pakistani fintech company, has announced that it has integrated Apple Pay into its SadaBiz freelancer account. This makes SadaBiz the first freelancer account in Pakistan to offer Apple Pay as a payment option.

The announcement was made during SadaPay’s inaugural SadaSummit, held at COLABS in Lahore on October 18, 2023. The event was attended by industry veterans, thought leaders in the freelancing ecosystem, and early adopters of SadaBiz. The event featured engaging panel discussions about the future of Pakistan as a global freelancing hub.

Why Apple Pay and Google Pay?

  • Apple Pay is the world’s fastest-growing mobile wallet, with over 550 million active users worldwide. It is also the most preferred mobile wallet globally, with a remarkable tally of 2 billion active devices globally.
  • In addition to Apple Pay, SadaPay has also enabled Google Pay for SadaBiz invoices as well, which boasts 150 million users globally.
  • Apple Pay’s worldwide popularity is increasing as the payment system handled a staggering sum of around $6 trillion in annual transactions in 2022. In comparison, PayPal managed a transaction volume of approximately $1.36 trillion.

How will the Apple Pay integration facilitate Pakistani freelancers?

The integration of Apple Pay into SadaBiz will make it easier for Pakistani freelancers to receive payments from clients around the world.

Freelancers and digital entrepreneurs in Pakistan have long grappled with various challenges, including absence of PayPal, limited awareness about opportunities, inadequate training facilities, and limited access to the international job market, as well as difficulties in receiving payments from overseas clients especially as much as 25% in fees and commissions for facilitating payments from client.

With the Apple Pay and Google Pay integration, a freelancer in Lahore, for instance, working with a client in New York now won’t have to juggle between third-party platforms and lose a chunk of money to commissions and fees. SadaBiz allows you to generate a payment link, send it to client, who just have to click the link, choose Apple Pay as the method and verify the payment in seconds.

Future of work is in Freelancing

“Our vision is clear: the future of work for Pakistani youth lies in freelancing,” says Brandon Timinsky, CEO at SadaPay. “The integration of Apple Pay is a monumental stride in realizing this vision. This initiative not only unlocks employment prospects for our skilled youth but also plays a crucial role in funneling valuable foreign exchange into Pakistan.”

SadaPay has now connected Pakistani freelancers with more than 700 million devices worldwide that have access to both Apple Pay and Google Pay.
