Shaheen International Airlines has officially announced the launch of its maiden weekly flight to Islamabad from Muscat, Oman. The first weekly flight will be launched on April 5.

“Shaheen Air is looking to expand its operations in Oman as part of its growth strategy outlined for the Sultanate,” said Huzaifa Halai, manager, Oman, Shaheen Air. The airline company also plan to launch a weekly flight to Karachi from Muscat in the near future as well.

The flight is appointed to fly from Islamabad on Mondays every week and depart from Muscat on Tuesdays. This is an attempt to not only expand the airlines’ operations but make it convenient for passengers who have to take the road to travel to the interior cities.

This is definitely good news for the expatriates living in Oman who belong to the capital city Islamabad as they would no longer have to face stopovers and long journey to their home town.

Shaheen Air is the first private Pakistani Airlines that operates in 12 international countries and is continually expanding into more destinations.

The two countries, Oman and Pakistan, have strong relations with each other, that means the demand for travel persists between the two. This launch will also bring in more tourists from Muscat to Pakistan. The most beautiful capital, Islamabad, is also one of the top tourist destinations with many establishments for tourists.

Islamabad has it all for a tourist to explore, be it natural beauty, historical monuments and entertainment spots. If you are a nature’s lover, Margalla Hills, Daman-e-Koh, Rose and Jasmine garden are some of the places that you can visit and admire the natural beauty in the city. Hiking around Islamabad is very popular, something for the adventurous travelers. Faisal Mosque, Pakistan Monument and Saidpur Village are other tourist spots.

This initiative is a step ahead to promote travel and tourism in Pakistan. Let’s see when the airline launches its maiden flight between Muscat and Karachi, and other major cities.
