Spend this Eid with elderly at old homes

Let’s celebrate few hours of this Eid with golden-agers in Islamabad and Rawalpindi

Eidul Fitr is all about celebration and enjoyment. But we often forget that a lot of people are not fortunate enough to celebrate Eid lavishly like a lot of us.

So how about celebrating this Eid a little different by spending some time with patients at hospitals or elderly at old homes and make someone’s day extra special?

If you don’t know where to start then you can join the SilverLiners Club, a group of youngsters, who have arranged a meet-up at old homes in Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

Old people don’t need anything except time from their loved ones, but those loved ones move them into old homes and never turn back to them. So let’s celebrate this Eid with those who are away from their loved ones and give them the best possible gift this Eid!

You can also donate some of your clothes and carry a box of sweets to spread joy and happiness with others. If not, your time is more than enough to make them happy.

This noble initiative has been taken by SilverLiners Club – an Islamabad-based youth lead welfare organization specifically focused on Sustainable Development Goal # 4 that is Quality Education to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education for all. The Club is working since 2014 and also running a charity school for the orphanage at Tarlai Kalan, Islamabad.
