Massive vaccination center set up at Fatima Jinnah Park

A hundred vaccinators will be available throughout the day with 75 counters available for vaccination

Asad Umar, the chief of National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC) and Federal Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, inaugurated a mass coronavirus vaccination facility in Islamabad with a daily capacity of inoculating 7,000. The facility, which is set up in the Fatima Jinnah Park premises, has 75 counters. 100 trained vaccinators will be present at the facility during the course of the day.

The minister said that the situation in Pakistan is better than in other countries in the region. Umar emphasized that vaccination is crucial to end the restrictions in the country and reopen the markets and the financial institutions.

“We want to end all restrictions as early as possible, including the reopening of educational institutions and markets, but it depends on meeting the vaccination target in the country,” he said.

The facility should help vaccinate more and more people in the federal capital. With each vaccinated person, the future risk of coronavirus is reduced by a fraction. Although the vaccine may not stop the virus from affecting the person in each and every case, it provides enough immunity to easily ward it off in a short period of time.
