The federal government has extended the Eid ul Azha 2023 (Baka Eid) holidays to four days.
According to the revised Cabinet Division notification, the Eid holidays would begin on June 28 and would end on July 1. Since July 2 is Sunday, government employees will enjoy a total of five holidays on Eid ul Azha.
- Eid holidays will be from June 28 (Wednesday) to June 30 (Friday) for offices that observe a five-day working week.
- For workplaces that observe a six-day working week, the Eid holidays will be from June 28 to July 1.
Earlier, the government had announced a three-day Eid holiday from June 29 (Thursday) to July 1 (Saturday).
The announcement was made after the sighting of the moon on July 19 by the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee. The first day of Eid ul Azha will be celebrated across Pakistan on June 29.
Eid ul Azha in Saudi Arabia will be observed on June 28.
