Pakistan Foreign Minister Qureshi meets Ambassador of Palestine in Islamabad
The Ambassador of Palestine to Pakistan, Ahmed Jawad A.A. Rabei, on Monday thanked the Pakistani government and people for their “unwavering support,” to the people of Palestine facing Israeli aggression.
Ambassador Rabaei expressed his gratitude for Pakistan’s unwavering support and steadfast policy on Palestine and appreciated Pakistan’s continuous efforts to engage the international community in protecting Palestine.
He shared his thoughts in a meeting with Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on May 17 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad.
Palestinian Ambassador also informed the foreign minister about the latest situation on ground in Palestininan territories, which was already dreadful due to COVID-19, and the ensuing humanitarian suffering.
Foreign Minister Qureshi strongly condemned violence by the Israeli Forces against innocent worshippers at Al-Aqsa Mosque during the holy month of Ramadan and expressed his deepest sorrow and condolences for the innocent victims of lethal attacks by Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) in Gaza and the West Bank.
Pakistan categorically condemned IDF’s continuous and indiscriminate attacks that had resulted in martyrdom of more than 197 Palestinians, including 92 children and women, and injured more than 1200.
Pakistan foreign minister reassured Ambassador Rabaei of Pakistan’s support and ongoing efforts to mobilize the international community and important regional partners on to stop Israeli barbarism in Palestine.
Prime Minister Imran Khan also contacted Palestinian President Mahmood Abbas and reaffirmed full support of Pakistan in the struggle for self-determination.
