Saudi airline flyadeal accelerates expansion in Pakistan with new Islamabad office

Saudi Arabia’s fast-growing low-cost carrier flyadeal has officially opened a dedicated sales and marketing office right here in Islamabad to expand its presence in the region.

This physical commitment marks a significant inflection point for the airline’s operations in Pakistan, positioning it to capture an even larger share of the country’s dynamic passenger market after just eight months of service.

On a flying visit to Pakistan’s capital city, flyadeal CEO Steven Greenway personally affirmed the airline’s dedication to being a key part of the country’s modern air travel landscape.

Flyadeal launched non-stop scheduled flights to Karachi just last February, connecting Saudi Arabian hubs in Riyadh and Jeddah. That initial move into South Asia has since escalated quickly. The airline has dramatically scaled up frequency and reach, now operating 18 non-stop services each week across a total of five Pakistani gateway cities.

The success, according to Steven Greenway, has been immediate. “Our Pakistan flights have proved a great success since our entry bringing affordable low fares and reliable punctual services to this exciting market,” he stated.

“Having expanded from one to five cities across the country in the space of just eight months thanks to regulatory and travel industry support, it’s only a matter of time before we grow further with much-needed additional capacity and provide the travelling public with wider reach and greater choice of non-stop flights bridging both countries.”

While the airline was created specifically with the price-conscious and tech-savvy consumer in mind, operating exclusively across digital distribution channels, establishing local support is critical.

The new Islamabad sales office complements the efforts of its partner, Matchless Travel, the leading general sales agent serving the travel trade across the country.

Farooq Ahmad, flyadeal Head of Sales, sees the office as a necessary step to reinforce trade relationships. “flyadeal has developed a great relationship with Pakistan’s travel agency community, quickly building confidence within the trade of our value added product offering,” Ahmad commented. “Our dedicated sales office in Islamabad complements the efforts of Matchless by providing increased brand presence and awareness.”

All flyadeal services to and from Pakistan are operated using modern Airbus A320 family aircraft, each configured with 186 seats in a streamlined, all-Economy Class setup. These flights serve a dynamic mix of travelers, business, leisure, religious pilgrims (with Jeddah flights serving as the gateway to Makkah), and the large outbound Pakistani expatriate community residing in the Kingdom.

Flyadeal, the sister airline of full-service national carrier Saudia, began operations in September 2017 to offer travel, tourism, and trade with its affordable, value-for-money everyday fares, catering to leisure, religious, family, and business travelers. Flyadeal operates a modern fleet of 43 Airbus A320 family aircraft, flying from bases in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam to destinations across Saudi Arabia, with a growing international footprint in Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia.
