After British Airways, Air France expected to resume operations in Pakistan soon
French flag carrier Air France is set to resume its operations in Pakistan soon, Federal Minister for Petroleum Ghulam Sarwar Khan said.
He said that the airline had been planning to resume its services after witnessing a conducive business environment in Pakistan.
The minister added that Pakistan stands ready to be a hub of commerce, trade, and foreign investment. “A major step in this direction is the revised visa policy of government giving visa-free access to more than 50 countries,” he said.
In December 2018, British flag carrier British Airways decided to return to Pakistan and resume its flight operations in Islamabad from June this year. The airline had suspended its operations from Pakistan in September 2008.
Air France had ended passenger flights to Karachi in winter 1994 and cargo services in summer 2001.
