For years, Pakistani Apple fans have waited for something that felt almost unreal: a real Apple Store. Now, it’s finally happening.
Lahore-based manufacturer and distributor of smartphones, TVs, and wearable Airlink Communication has announced plans to open Pakistan’s first official Apple retail store by the end of 2025, a move that could reshape the country’s premium tech retail scene.
The announcement was made during a corporate briefing by Airlink Communication. he news was subsequently shared by the brokerage and market research firm Topline Securities, which attended the session.
“Airlink plans to open Pakistan’s first-ever Apple retail store by the end of 2025, along with a Xiomi retail outlet, in Dolmen Mall Lahore,” Topline Securities shared on X.r
his retail debut is expected to reshape the consumer electronics market, where products like the iPhone, which recently saw the launch of the iPhone 17 with its brighter, more scratch-resistant screen, are highly valued not just for built quality but as “social status symbols”.
For Apple loyalists who have long relied on resellers or grey markets, a dedicated retail outlet could finally bring the complete Apple experience — warranties, service, and all.
Retail Channel Strategy
Airlink’s new role as the premium partner for the brand is what makes this retail expansion possible. The company had previously established the context for this move, focusing on improving product availability across the country.
When the partnership with GNEXT Technologies was initially announced in September 2024, Airlink outlined a clear goal: “This strategic appointment aims to significantly expand the availability of Apple products through structured retail channel coverage,”. This commitment aims to resolve distribution gaps and product availability issues, ensuring customers “have convenient access to a wide range of Apple products, including iPhones, iPads, MacBooks, Apple watches and accessories.”
Beyond Mobile: Hardware Diversification Push
The new Apple store is only one part of Airlink’s expanding business strategy. The company is actively pushing into the PC market and expanding its manufacturing capabilities and also has plans to launch a Xiaomi outlet alongside the Apple store.
During the same briefing, the company revealed that it expects to receive its first shipment of 10,000 Acer laptops by November 2025, which will be launched under a pilot project. “These CBU units will be launched as a pilot project, with plans to begin local manufacturing if it is successful,” Airlink said.
Additionally, Airlink shared that it is in the process of onboarding another mobile brand for manufacturing and distribution — an indication of its ambitions to position itself as a key player in Pakistan’s growing technology manufacturing ecosystem.
This suite of developments signals a crucial moment where local firms are not just distributing foreign goods, but are committing to localized assembly and high-end brand representation.
