The exhibition highlights art and craft talent of blind and vision-impaired people of Pakistan
The arts and craft exhibition by Pakistan’s talented visually impaired people amazed the audience at an event in Islamabad.
The delicate and detailed work by the blind artists won the hearts of the people who appreciated their craftsmanship. The talented youngsters, with a visual disability, exhibited their talents honourably and received much appreciation.
The crafts included khussas (shoes), hair accessories, jewellery, stationery items, and clutch bags, which were purchased in abundance.
The exhibition was part of annual event and dinner by Pakistan Foundation Fighting Blindness (PFFB), an association that is involved in helping visually impaired group all over Pakistan, held at Marriot Islamabad.
The objective of the dinner along with the exhibition was to promote the skills and aid the visually hindered community, financially.
The occasion respected the individuals who have accommodated their group including PFFB authorities and outwardly hindered people. Handicrafts by skillful blind individuals were exhibited, which was the centre of attraction for the masses.
Mr. Tahir Ali facilitated the function and PFFB’s program specialist Ms Rabael Pirzada shared organization’s breakthroughs and ongoing projects with the audience. The event included a brief highlight of the annual progress activities of the Foundation around the year.
“I thank every one of the accomplices and members for making the establishment successful,” said the C.E.O Mrs. Nasreen Mansoor. Mrs. Nasreen elaborated the foundations’ accomplishments, which were achieved despite limited resources, this year.
Foundations Chairman Mr. Muhammad Yousaf Abdullah acknowledged the efforts of the foundation, CEO as well as the donors for their contribution. He also distributed certificates of appreciation among the master trainers and the officials of PFFB.
The event concluded with the live musical performances of talented visually impaired role models of PFFB.
Pakistan Foundation Fighting Blindness (PFFB) established in 1988 is a non-profit and social administration association whose object is to help individuals who are visually impaired or outwardly debilitated to lead free and dynamic lives while instructing general society to comprehend the abilities and necessities of these people.
