E-Police Desk launched by Islamabad Police to introduce automation

Islamabad Police launches first of a kind special desk to lodge complaints without the need for human interaction

To introduce automation in the department, Islamabad Police has introduced a high-tech “E-Police Desk” system for the registration of complaints without any human interaction. Human interaction is not required for lodging complaints under the new system.

The automated system would reduce human contact – an effective way to prevent the spread of coronavirus during pandemic days.

The desk was officially launched by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Qazi Jamil ur Rehman while other dignitaries including DIG (Operations) Afzaal Ahmed Kausar, and SSP (Operations) Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanveer.

Islamabad police chief appreciated the efforts of SSP Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanweer over his efforts to introduce this new system which is the first of its kind project in Pakistan.

The introduction of new technology will help improve policing in the country. People can still the call centers to lodge their complaints at the emergency desks.  

The new system is an excellent step taken by the capital police in order to facilitate the masses. This should streamline the reporting system and remove undue delays that may be caused by not enough manpower. The ICT Police has been improving its systems in recent times and this should further help them police the federal capital better.
