To celebrate the Independence day of Belarus, a special reception was hosted by the Belarus Ambassador Andrei G. Ermolovich.
The day marks Belarus’ independence upon the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991.
Diplomats from Russia, Central Asia and other countries, along with a large number of Pakistani guests from the government, private sector and civil society attended the celebration.
Sheikh Anser Aziz, mayor of Islamabad and chairman of CDA was the chief guest on the occasion. Other prominent guests included Punjab Governor Malik Mohammad Rafique Rajwana and the dean of the diplomatic corps Kazakhstan’s Ambassador Bakhitbek Shabarbajev.
