Indus Motor Company (IMC) has said it will soon begin exporting “Made in Pakistan” Toyota vehicles to international markets.
The company announced Oceanian countries. This initiative reflects IMC’s commitment to advancing Pakistan’s automotive industry on the global stage.
Export lineup: The company revealed that its export line-up includes the Toyota Fortuner, Hilux and Corolla Cross models.
The automaker made the announcement recently at a ceremony at its Port Qasim Authority manufacturing facility in Karachi.
During the event, IMC revealed its plans to begin exporting parts of its famous vehicles, including the Toyota Fortuner, Hilux, and Corolla Cross, to countries like Australia, Indonesia, and New Zealand. This initiative is expected to not only generate export revenue, boosting Pakistan’s economy but also to increase the country’s footprint in the global automotive market.
The event was attended by notable dignitaries including Federal Minister for Industries and Production Rana Tanveer Hussain, CEO of EDB Engineer Khuda Buksh, representatives from SIFC, various government officials, and Toyota’s top leadership, including Executive Vice President of Toyota Motor Asia Kazunari Iguchi.
“The partnership with IMC has been built over time and is immensely fruitful. In Toyota we say that we build people before we build cars, and this step is a testament to the improvement of skill, and training of the human resources from Pakistan. We look forward to continued collaboration and success, allowing us to continue to contribute to Pakistan,” said Kazunari Iguchi.

Becoming part of Toyota’s global supply chain is an affirmation of IMC’s commitment to see Pakistan on the world map and strengthening its overall economy,” CEO Indus Motor Company Ali Asghar Jamali said at the event.
Federal Minister Mr. Rana Tanveer also highlighted the significance of this achievement, saying, “We are proud to see Indus Motor, one of Pakistan’s renowned companies, contributing towards exports. The government AIDEP 21-26 policy aims to boost the automotive sector by encouraging the export of localized parts and vehicles. IMC’s proactive approach in leading from the front sets a benchmark for others in the industry. We are committed to supporting the auto industry in every possible way.”
IMC has consistently played a pivotal role in establishing the local automobile industry in Pakistan, creating a comprehensive value chain with over 50 part manufacturers producing parts worth over Rs. 250 million every working day.
The company also supports 57 independently owned authorized dealerships, offering sales and after-sales services, and provides employment to over 450,000 people across Pakistan, both directly and indirectly.
