PM Sharif emphasized the growth in exports, particularly in the IT sector, and outlined the government’s vision for economic development in agriculture, industry, IT, mining, and minerals. Pakistan is on the path to economic revival, and initiatives like the Mövenpick Hotel Centaurus are a testament to the confidence of international investors in our country’s potential, he said.
Mövenpick Hotels
The Mövenpick brand, known for its exceptional hospitality, has a long-standing presence in Pakistan. The hotel originally opened its doors on 17 July 1982 and was rebranded as the Mövenpick Hotel Karachi in 2014. The launch of the Mövenpick Hotel Centaurus in Islamabad marks a new chapter in the brand’s legacy, bringing world-class luxury and service to the federal capital.
Mövenpick began in 1948 with its first restaurant in Zurich, Switzerland, founded by the late Swiss hotelier Ueli Prager. Prager redefined hospitality with a simple yet powerful philosophy: ‘doing ordinary things in an extraordinary way’. His vision of simplicity, innovation, exceptional service, and culinary excellence set new standards, creating a legacy that continues to shape the industry today.
