NayaPay partners with FWO to digitize M-Tag Payments in Pakistan

To modernize Pakistan’s toll payment system, NayaPay and Frontier Works Organization (FWO) have announced a groundbreaking partnership to digitize M-Tag payments.

This collaboration aims to revolutionize the way motorists pay tolls on the country’s highways, making the process smoother and more convenient than ever before.

Highway toll transformed

Motorists will now be able to recharge their M-Tags directly through the NayaPay app. This means no more long queues or hassle of finding a recharge point – just a few taps on your smartphone and you’re good to go.

This move comes at a crucial time, following the National Highway Authority’s (NHA) mandate requiring all vehicles on motorways to use M-Tags starting from January 1, 2024. The aim is to improve toll collection efficiency and enhance user convenience, and the partnership between NayaPay and FWO is set to play a key role in achieving these goals.

The agreement, signed by Danish A. Lakhani, CEO of NayaPay, and Brig Asif Siddique (Retd.), Director IT FWO, marks a significant milestone in Pakistan’s digital payment landscape. This initiative, in collaboration with One Network (ONPL), specializes in the digitalization of Intelligent Traffic Systems (ITS), Electronic Toll Collection (ETC), and M-Tag services on motorways.

Moreover, NayaPay’s recent collaboration with Alipay+ promises to further streamline digital payments in Pakistan. By deploying QR codes compatible with both RAAST and Alipay+ payment partners, including e-wallets and bank apps, NayaPay aims to integrate Pakistan’s cashless payment systems with global markets, addressing issues such as limited interoperability and high transaction costs.

With these strategic partnerships, NayaPay is paving the way towards a cashless future, making digital payments more accessible and convenient for all motorists across Pakistan.
