Pakistan Day 2018 celebrations around the world by hundreds of Pakistani expatriates proves that national day is a big event for Pakistanis everywhere.

Pakistan Day 2018 was celebrated with flag hoisting ceremonies and impressive events by Pakistani missions in various countries of the world. The most impressive events were held in China, Turkey, UAE, Saudi Arabia, US and UK.

Celebration in China

Pakistan Day was celebrated with a flag hoisting event and a remarkable ceremony at Pakistan embassy in Beijing. The ceremony started with the recitation of the Holy Quran followed by the national anthem. Pakistan ambassador to China, Masood Khalid, raised the flag with the national anthem tune playing. The ambassador commended the Pakistani community for their energetic efforts and resolute to help country rise to the height of glory. He also highlighted the importance of the Pakistan-China relationship and CPEC. He said, “both countries desire development peace and stability in the region”.

Festivity in Turkey

The National Day of Pakistan was celebrated in Ankara with an impressive ceremony at Pakistan Embassy in Ankara on Friday.
The Ambassador of Pakistan to Turkey, Mr. Muhammad Syrus Sajjad Qazi, raised the Pakistan flag to the tune of the National Anthem in presence of the Pakistani community, Pakistani students studying in Turkish Universities and Embassy officials and their families.

Pakistan Day in UAE

In Dubai, Burj Khalifa, one of the world’s tallest buildings, was lit up green and white. The ADNOC building in Abu Dhabi also displayed the Pakistani flag to celebrate Pakistan Resolution Day.
Pakistan’s Ambassador to UAE Moazzam Ahmad Khan hosted a diplomatic reception in Abu Dhabi where UAE Minister of Tolerance Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan was the chief guest. Ambassador Khan said ‘’It is a great honour for Pakistan as the first time a military contingent of UAE is participating in the parade of Pakistan Day.’’

Pakistan Day in Saudi Arabia

The Consulate General of Pakistan celebrated the 78th National Day of Pakistan along with the Pakistani community in Jeddah with traditional fervor. Consul General Shehryar Akbar Khan hoisted the national flag of Pakistan in the presence of contingents of Pakistan Army and Pakistan Navy at his residence in Jeddah. Later, Consul Fouzia Fayyaz and Deputy Consul General Shaiq Bhutto respectively read out messages from the president and the prime minister to the nation.

Celebration in USA

The song Dil, Dil, Pakistan echoed at UN  as over 100 international diplomats, UN officials and ambassadors joined the Pakistani mission in US to mark Pakistan Day. Addresing the recepton in New York, Pakistan’s Representative at the United Nations Dr .Maleeha Lodhi paid a rich tribute to Pakistani men and women serving as peacekeepers in the world. She said Pakistan’s remarkable journey since the Pakistan Resolution was adopted has been powered by the spirit and resilience of the Pakistani people.

Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States Aizaz Ahmed Chaudhry, addressing a grand flag hoisting ceremony in Washington, urged Pakistani diaspora to continue to play its role as a bridge between the two countries.

In Ottawa, Pakistani High Commissioner Tariq Azim Khan hoisted the national flag at a simple but impressive ceremony.
The Pakistani-Canadian community celebrated Pakistan Day with traditional enthusiasm while remembering the strenuous struggle and sacrifices rendered by its founding fathers.

Festivity in UK

Pakistan Day 2018 was marked with a flag hoisting ceremony at the Pakistan High Commission, London on Friday. High Commissioner Syed Ibne Abbas unfurled the national flag in the premises of the High Commission in a grand ceremony. A large number of people including mayors, councilors, community leaders, members of Pakistani diaspora, officials from the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO), British friends of Pakistan, a delegation of Pakistan Peace Collective, students and representatives of media attended the ceremony.

Festivity in France

A flag hoisting ceremony was held at the Embassy of Pakistan in France, Paris to commemorate the Pakistan Day. The ceremony was attended by members of the Pakistani community, officers of the missions and their families and media persons in large number.
