Pakistan’s IT companies shine at Singapore FinTech Festival 2024

Pakistan’s tech and fintech sector is gaining momentum on the global stage, with several leading companies showcasing their innovative products and services at the prestigious Singapore FinTech Festival 2024 (SFF).

This year’s festival, held from November 6 to 8, marked a significant leap in Pakistan’s digital presence, as over 10 companies participated, aiming to expand their business networks, attract investments, and secure international projects.

The event, considered the largest of its kind worldwide, is a key platform for the fintech community, bringing together thought leaders, investors, and tech innovators from over 150 countries. With 66,000 participants, it serves as a global meeting point for discussing trends, challenges, and opportunities in the fintech space.

Pakistan’s presence at the festival was officially inaugurated by Rabia Shafiq, Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Singapore, who opened the country’s booths at the event. The booths featured several prominent Pakistani companies, including Hexalyze Consulting Services, eOcean, Cloudlead, Techlogix, Programmer Force, AdalFi, and AML Watcher—all making strides in fintech innovation.

Saad Shah, CEO of Hexalyze Consulting Services, expressed optimism about Pakistan’s growing footprint at SFF. “The presence of Pakistani companies at this year’s Singapore FinTech Festival has increased significantly compared to last year. This is an encouraging development for Pakistan’s IT and fintech landscapes, signaling the country’s rising influence in global markets,” Shah said.

Business opportunities and Innovation

Pakistani IT and fintech companies are leveraging the festival as a prime opportunity to introduce their cutting-edge technology solutions to an international audience. From blockchain and AI-driven fintech applications to digital payment solutions, the companies are showcasing a diverse range of products designed to modernize financial services.

According to industry experts, this participation offers Pakistani firms the chance to forge valuable connections and generate leads for business opportunities in emerging markets. Pakistani tech companies are not only capable of earning revenue through IT exports but also have the potential to tap into the global financial sector with their innovative services.

The event featured notable speakers from around the world, including Omair Ansari, CEO and Co-Founder of ABHI, a fintech company that has successfully expanded across the MENAP region. Speaking at the festival, Ansari emphasized the role of fintech in reshaping the global financial landscape. “Fintech is rapidly reshaping the global financial landscape, opening immense opportunities for Pakistani players to create a lasting impact locally and internationally. ABHI has expanded across the MENAP region through partnerships and collaborations. Our participation at the Singapore FinTech Festival showcases our dedication to advancing financial inclusion and accessibility across emerging markets,” he said.

Building Pakistan’s Fintech ecosystem

Pakistan’s increasing participation in global fintech events, including the recent GITEX technology exhibition where nearly 80 companies represented the country, reflects a broader trend of strengthening its tech ecosystem. Ansari believes that showcasing Pakistan’s fintech capabilities at such global events not only bolsters the country’s reputation but also signals to investors and venture capitalists that Pakistan is a growing hub for innovation.

“By representing Pakistan on this global stage, we are not only building a positive image for the country’s fintech sector but also attracting investments and fostering collaborations that will drive sustainable growth and innovation,” Ansari added.

With the success of events like GITEX and now SFF, Pakistan’s tech sector is poised to gain even greater global recognition, opening doors for more partnerships and investment in the years to come.
