PM Khan inaugurates Eagle Squad Unit of Islamabad Police

Islamabad Police’s Eagle Squad Unit comprises of 600 officials

Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday inaugurated the Eagle Squad Unit of the capital police during his visit to Islamabad Police Safe City Headquarters.

The new Eagle Squad Unit of Islamabad Police comprised 100 motorcycles and was established with the cost of Rs300million, according to Interior Ministry. The squad will patrol in the capital city on the two-wheelers round the clock.

The Eagle Squad Unit comprised about 600 officials and the squad’s headquarters is established at Shalimar Police Station.

In his speech, PM Khan urged the police that taking action against illegal practices lead to supremacy of the law. “Whenever powerful people break the law; you should deal them with full force,” he told the police officers.

“There are no holy cows… even if Imran Khan flouts the law, arrest him. And if you fail to do so, I will take action against you” he said.

The prime minister said that it was the responsibility of police to enforce law, adding that “the countries attain peace and prosperity where police perform well”
