CAA DG visits new Islamabad International Airport to ensure improved facilitation and cleanliness standards
The new Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) DG Hassan Baig visited the Islamabad International Airport to inspect different areas and facilities of the airport.
It was a follow-up visit of his last inspection on Sunday when he urged to ensure different arrangements to improve facilitation and cleanliness standards at the airport and also to increase the number of help desks.
In his earlier visit, Mr. Hassan Baig directed the airport management to increase seating capacity in concourse halls at Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 for passengers and to improve signage in different areas to guide the passengers. He expressed satisfaction that both these recommendations have now been implemented by the airport management.
As per his previous instructions, a help desk has also been established with the availability of adequate no of facilitation staff to facilitate the passengers.
In order to facilitate the pilgrims during the Umra season in Ramadan, praying areas and number of Jae Namaz (prayer mats) has also been increased. In this regard, DG CAA, Mr. Hassan Baig, reiterated his resolve to establish world-class service standards at newly opened capital airport of Pakistan
DGCAA also visited the areas which can be exposed to rain and advised airport management to manage the terminal building well to avoid any inconvenience to passengers due to rain in future.
