Embassy of Kyrgyzstan event in Islamabad highlight the role of women in Kyrgyz society, politics and diplomacy
ISLAMABAD – Kyrgyz Embassy in Islamabad held a colourful culturual event in Islamabad aimed at developing cultural, tourism ties and people to people contacts between Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan.
The widely attended function was arranged on February 6, 2019, at the residence of Kyrgyzstan Ambassador HE Eric Beishembiyev. It was attended by the spouses of Ambassadors and High Commissioners in Islamabad. Senior women officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also attended the functions.
The event was held to mark the 75th anniversary of the founding of Kyrgyz diplomatic relationship. Women and children were dressed in the traditional Kyrgyz costumes in the colorful and entertaining show with the slogan of “Journey to the world of nomadic traditions and costumes”.
According to Kyrgyz officials, the main purpose for holding the event was to highlight the role of women in the history of the formation of the Kyrgyz society and particularly their participation in politics and diplomacy of Kyrgyzstan.
Towards the end of the show, the guests also enjoyed the trailer for the film “Kurmanzhan Datka”, a thematic photo exhibition and enjoyed the tastes of national dishes.
