The Fantasists mesmerize Islamabad illusions and magic
Directed by Usama Qazi, the show starred Afzaal Afridi and Munawar Khan is currently being held at Aiwan-e-Quaid (F-9 Park) in Islamabad till Feb 10.
Afridi is Pakistan’s only magician who has been awarded the International Magicians Society’s prestigious Merlin Award. Munawar is a funny, witty and accomplished illusionist who received much applause from the audience.
Review: Magic tricks never fail to impress us and Pakistan’s first-ever illusions and mind-control show simply left the audiences dazzled. The show started with conventional card tricks but soon moved on to more exciting mind-reading tricks. Afzaal stunned the people when he made Rs20 note disappear and managed to turn it into Rs1000 note an on top of that he returned the original note which was found in an orange fruit he sliced in front of the people!
The next act by illusionist Munawar performed a few card tricks, turned a torn newspaper back to its original form and put sharp blades in a box that later revealed his assistant with all her body parts intact! But his final act was simply mind-blowing when the illusionist locked himself into a box which later revealed his assistant. And emerged Munawar from the crowd, receiving huge applause from the crowd.
Both the magicians simply wowed the entertainment-starved Islamabad audience. The show was as wondrous as witty and humourous.
Highly recommend to go and watch with your friends and family!
