Islamabad reports first coronavirus case as tally rises to 29

A new coronavirus case has been reported in Pakistan, taking the total number of confirmed cases across the country to 29. This is the first case reported in Islamabad.

The patient is a 30-year-old woman who has recently arrived from the US to Pakistan a couple of days ago, according to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) officials

The woman’s condition is reported to be critical and has been placed on a ventilator.

On Friday, the State Minister of Health of Pakistan Dr. Zafar Mirza confirmed 28 cases of CPOVID-19 in Pakistan.

Karachi.has been the worst affected with 14 confirmed cases. Of the remaining, five cases are reported in Gilgit-Baltistan and one case has been reported each in Hyderabad and Quetta.

Meanwhile, over 1800 pilgrims and others, who had completed their 14-day quarantine in Taftan after returning from Iran, were allowed to leave the border town and go home.
