K-pop band Blitzers’ new music video features Pakistani culture in all its glory

Blitzers, a K-pop band released the music video for their new song “Hit the Bass” on Wednesday, which featured flamboyant truck art, the iconic Badshahi mosque, the Lahore fort, and the food street, bringing the potential of Pakistani culture to the spotlight for other global artists, said the commentators.

The music video paying tribute to Lahore has hit nearly 1.4 million views on YouTube since the day it was posted on July 20.

“Hit the Bass” has not just delighted the existing fanbase of Bitzer’s but has also attracted a larger Pakistani audience.

Social Media users took to Twitter with their favorite scenic shots from the video to express their feelings as well as the “much-deserved” love for the band.

Immensely pleased by the fact that the video was shot in Pakistan, one user wrote that the band did not disappoint its fans.

“As usual, Blitzers didn’t disappoint. Hit The Bass is insane with Wooju’s high note and rapping and the choreography was so powerful too. The music video was so good as well. It made me so happy seeing Pakistan there, it’s so pretty and I love that they shot it here.”

Another user highlighted that Pakistani culture had made its way to K-pop.

Speaking on the bond that K-Pop and Pakistani fans share, culture writer and content creator Ahmer Naqvi said. “Fan groups of Korean bands and performers are actually really active across the country,”

“This video becomes very interesting because it’s the first moment that I know of where Korean creators are sort of interacting and engaging with Pakistani culture,” Naqvi added.

The Blitzers

Blitzers, a well-known k-pop band, was formed by Wuzo Entertainment in 2021. The group, which debuted on May 12, 2021, consists of seven members: Jinhwa, Go_U, Juhan, Sya, Chris, Lutan, and Wooju.
