New UAE Visa rules for Pakistan: Pre-Approval document required before visa application

Planning a UAE trip? Pakistani travelers heading to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for business or leisure must now obtain a visa pre-approval document from an authentic travel agent before submitting their visa application at the UAE Embassy in Islamabad.

According to the latest guidelines from the UAE Embassy in Islamabad, applicants will need to present this pre-approval document, along with their biometric fee receipt and passport, at the embassy for visa processing.

This updated process aims to streamline UAE visa applications for Pakistani nationals, ensuring all required documents are verified in advance. The UAE Visa Center has also issued a checklist outlining the necessary documents and age-based application requirements.

New UAE Visa Application Process for Pakistani Nationals

From February 2025 onward, applicants must follow these steps to complete their UAE visa application:

  1. Obtain Pre-Approval for Your UAE Visa 🇦🇪
All applicants must first secure a visa pre-approval document from an authentic travel agent before proceeding with their application. This step ensures that the applicant meets the initial eligibility criteria for a UAE visa.
  2. Deposit the Biometric Fee at Bank Alfalah 🇵🇰
Once pre-approval is obtained, applicants must deposit a $69 biometric processing fee at Bank Alfalah in US dollars. The payment should be made under the Embassy of UAE, Islamabad (Visa Center) account (Account No: 0035-1007493698). The original bank receipt must be retained for submission.
  3. Submit Documents at the UAE Visa Center 🇦🇪
With the visa pre-approval document, biometric fee receipt, and passport, applicants must visit the UAE Visa Center in Islamabad for final visa processing. Individuals aged 15 and above must undergo biometric verification as part of the application process.

  • Original bank receipts for fee payment are required at the visa center.
  • Additional documents such as a bank statement, hotel booking, air ticket, and CNIC copy must also be provided.
  • As per the latest guidelines, applicants must also provide a six-month bank statement with a minimum balance of $5,000 from the applicant, sponsor, or parent for visa processing.

Pakistani travelers are advised to only obtain pre-approval from verified travel agents to avoid delays or issues in their visa applications. For more information, applicants can contact the UAE Visa Center at 051-8842222.
