The report was issued for the three months and cover the various aspects of user experience
Zong was the big winner in the user experience report for April to July period, claiming five out of the seven categories. The assessment was carried out by Open Signal, a mobile analytics company, included the four nationwide network providers Jazz, Telenor, Ufone, and Zong. The performance in each category was assessed on a scale of 0-100.
Zong offers “good” video experience
Zong was rated good in its video. The testing was based on the download speed, if the video stalled or not and if the speed was consistent. Other service providers were placed in the fair category. Ufone, meanwhile, improved seven-point from its previous assessment.
Ufone edges past Zong on gaming
Gaming enthusiasts were not very enthusiastic about their gaming experience on the Pakistani cellular networks. Ufone beat Zong by just a single point in the category. However, none of the competitors could go past 40 points out of 100. That shows there is huge room for improvement and the gamers experience rather low-quality service.
Jazz dethroned in downloads speed
Zong overtook former front-runner Jazz on average download speeds with our users on its network observing a respectable 10.9 Mbps and beating that seen by our Jazz users by 0.5 Mbps. Jazz’s download speed fell by 0.5 Mbps while Zong upped its speed by 0.7 Mbps. Ufone posted a 5 Mbps speed while Telenor fell below 4Mbps.
Zong was previously tied with Jazz in these User Experience Awards. However, Jazz appears to have lost some of the steam while Zong has upped its game. Ufone also did well as it bagged two awards, the only other company to get any apart from Zong.
