Islamabad Wildlife Management Board (IWMB) has successfully released a rehabilitated female leopard into the wild in Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK).
The leopard, previously found injured with a severely wounded tail, underwent an intensive five-week rehabilitation process at the rescue center set up by IWMB, which works under the Ministry of Climate Change.
Following her recovery and clearance by veterinarians, the leopard was reintroduced to her natural habitat in the lush forests of AJK. The release operation was conducted with support from the AJK Wildlife Department, which assisted in ensuring a smooth transition for the animal back into the wild.
