Sightseeing buses set to launch in Islamabad and Rawalpindi

Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) is all set to launch the City Tours Bus Service in federal capital Islamabad and twin city Rawalpindi.

According to Pakistan Tourism Corporation officials, the peoples of twin cities will finally get their very own sightseeing buses soon. The inauguration of these city tour buses will be held at the Pakistan China Centre this week.

The official said that artists were busy in designing these buses which would soon provide pick and drop for tourists to various famous landmarks of twin cities including Faisal Mosque, Zoo, RawalLake, F-9 park, Lok Virsa Museum, Children Park as well as Ayub Park in Rawalpindi and Taxila Museum.

As per the reports, the tour buses would have all standards and facilities as per international standard.

According to sources Manager Director also met Private School Association (PSA) representatives of the different schools and colleges who appreciated the launch of the service and assured that students in large numbers will take benefit from this service.

He said the students of schools and colleges would realize the importance of tourism by participating in such activities and discounted packages would be offered to students.

Through this mega project, PTDC aims to not only promote tourism but also facilitate the citizens of twin cities. It has been a long-awaited project, which has received a lot of appreciation and will attract a large number of people.

According to PTDC officials if the pilot project is successful, then the number of buses will be increased to four days a week.

The buses will cover the following prominent tour points among others:

  • Faisal Mosque
  • Shakarparian
  • Islamabad Zoo
  • Lok Virsa
  • Daman e Koh
  • F9 Park
  • Lakeview Park
  • Ayub Park
  • Taxila Museum
