Movie lovers in Pakistan will have various movie options this Eid Al-Adha as local cinema is offering a fun-packed Eid holiday with the release of multiple movies during the festive season.
Here are six movies releasing in cinemas across Pakistan over the Eid holidays:

Babylicious
Starring former celebrity couple Syra Yousuf and Shahroz Sabzwari, Babylicious, as described by writer, director, and co-producer Essa Khan, is a delightful date movie set in an affluent Pakistani world where college students drive luxurious cars, flaunt top-brand wardrobes, and indulge in lavish weddings.
The romance between Sabiha (Syra) and Omer (Shahroz) initially feels unbreakable but quickly crumbles as reality sets in. Syra Yousuf, portraying Omar’s college sweetheart shares that Babylicious presents love in a nostalgic manner, distinct from modern-day interpretations. Essa Khan, the writer-director, weaves together elements from Pakistan and the United States, creating a blend of liberalism and conservatism, seriousness and slapstick, and reality and fantasy. The movie faced multiple delays and was filmed over five years in Karachi, Nawabshah, and Bahrain, culminating in a unique cinematic experience.

Allahyar and the 100 Flowers of God
Allahyar and The 100 Flowers of God is a sequel to the award-winning 2018 animated film Allahyar and the Legend of Markhor. The movie follows Allahyar, a young boy from Pakistan’s northern areas, and his loyal friend Hero as they unravel the mystery behind vanishing trees in the Chinar forest. They embark on an action-packed Sci-Fi adventure to a remarkable place, where they make new friends and help save their world.
Produced by the renowned Pakistani animation studio 3rd World Studios, known for its cutting-edge technology, this film showcases its commitment to delivering world-class entertainment.
Pakistan’s first stereoscopic 3D animated film, Allahyar and The 100 Flowers of God, explores themes of environmental conservation, climate change, and the importance of trees and forests for a greener future.

Teri Meri Kahaniyaan
Teri Meri Kahaniyaan is a multi-director anthology feature film, starring renowned actors including Mehwish Hayat, Wahaj Ali, and Sheheryar Munawar.
The movie consists of three separate storylines, each exploring the theme of romance. Directed by Nadeem Baig, Nabeel Qureshi, and Marina Khan, the films titled Aik Sau Taeeswan, Jin Mahal, and Pasoori, respectively, offer a combination of horror, comedy, and unique treatments with each film having its own cast. This experimental approach aims to captivate audiences with intriguing and diverse narratives. Qureshi expressed hope that this amalgamation would be well-received, as the films offer distinct experiences, catering to different tastes.
Fellow director Nadeem Baig said in a statement that “With Teri Meri Kahaniyaan, we have worked towards a first-of-its-kind anthology with such varying directors and performers. This film will undoubtedly be a creative masterpiece enjoyed by all.”

VIP
VIP is a light-hearted and relatable comedy that addresses social issues while offering romance and surprises for children, according to director Rana Kamran. This much-anticipated film, marking Kamran’s directorial debut, promises a mesmerizing experience with its cinematography, seasoned actors, and soulful music.
With a stellar ensemble cast, including newcomers Zach and Nimra in lead roles, VIP encapsulates all the elements of a super-hit movie. Set against a politically charged backdrop, the film injects humor and relatability into the lives of ordinary people. Madaari is a “crime drama” set in Karachi in 2008, according to co-writer, director, and co-producer Seraj Us Salikin,
Set in the political turmoil in the city in 2008, Haris Qadeer’s life takes a challenging turn after his father is murdered in a political feud. Struggling financially and emotionally in the ruthless city, Haris stumbles upon an opportunity for revenge at his father’s killer’s office. The film, Madaari, follows Haris, portrayed by Ibad Alam Sher, as he faces the choice between seeking revenge or forging a better life. Madaari promises to make a significant impact on Pakistan’s film industry.

Once Upon a Time in Karachi
Once Upon a Time in Karachi follows the story of a TV channel reporter and cameraman facing severe financial problems, unpaid for months. Forced by their circumstances, the two friends resort to an unconventional and seemingly dangerous solution.
The lead actor is the actor and singer Mohsin Abbas Haider, who gained fame on the big screen through the movie ‘NaMaloom Afraad’. This movie set in Karachi city marks Haider’s solo hero debut, showcasing his comedic timing and action skills. Nosheen Shah, the glamorous queen, makes her big-screen debut as the leading lady in the film directed by Abu Aleeha.
