What is Roll Cloud?
The rare cloud witnessed in Islamabad is called roll cloud.
A roll cloud is a relatively rare, low-level horizontal, tube-shaped cloud and a type of arcus low clod. It is typically associated with thunderstorms. The rolling motion of the cloud happens due to changing speed and/or direction of winds at the inversion — when the air temperature reverses from its normal state.
