Ten innovative GreenTech startups have made it to the final round of selection for the prestigious GreenTech Hub Initiative, where the top three will go on to represent Pakistan at the 29th Conference of the Parties (COP29) in Baku, Azerbaijan.
The GreenTech Hub Initiative, spearheaded by Ignite – the Ministry of IT & Telecom’s technology incubator – is aimed at showcasing the country’s most innovative and sustainable technology solutions to combat climate change.

These innovative startups, each advancing sustainable technology solutions to address climate challenges, will have the opportunity to pitch their ideas on the global stage at COP29, set to take place in Baku from November 11 to 22, 2024.
The GreenTech Hub Initiative aims to showcase Pakistan’s brightest innovators in areas such as clean energy, agritech, electric mobility, and water conservation.
This is a monumental opportunity for Pakistan’s green entrepreneurs to present their solutions at COP29, a global forum where nations come together to discuss climate solutions, according to Salaal Hassan, CEO of Ignite, a company dedicated to funding and supporting tech ventures. He added that the top three of the selected startups would receive assistance to raise funds and create green jobs.
These startups represent the future of sustainability, and their success at COP29 will put Pakistan at the forefront of international climate action.
Top 10 finalists
The top 10 finalists, selected for their cutting-edge technologies and potential to drive environmental change, include:
- ConceptLoop – Reimagining low-value plastic waste into affordable building materials and lifestyle products.
- Sawie – Using data-driven solutions to empower farmers with tools that boost productivity and sustainability.
- Creeco – Innovating alternative fuels by converting wastewater, algae, industrial waste, and hydrogen into clean energy.
- EzBike – Pakistan’s first electric bike-sharing service, offering advanced battery swapping for sustainable urban mobility.
- Khaity – Harnessing AI to transform Pakistan’s agricultural sector with smarter farming solutions.
- Vlektra – Leading the charge in electric motorcycles, promoting clean, green transportation.
- EcoEdge AI – Optimizing HVAC systems with AI to reduce energy consumption and minimize environmental impact.
- GrowTech – Providing climate-smart agricultural solutions that enhance productivity while reducing environmental damage.
- Nanodrop – Offering cutting-edge nanotechnology solutions for clean and accessible drinking water.
- Zyp Technologies – Delivering smart mobility solutions to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles and a net-zero future.
The GreenTech Hub, launched by the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), serves as a collaborative space for these startups to develop scalable, sustainable solutions. It is supported by key partners, including Paklaunch, Ahya, Sarmayacar, i2i Ventures, USAID and Zayn Venture Capital.
As Pakistan gears up for COP29, these startups are poised to make a global impact, demonstrating the power of innovation in the fight against climate change.
