UAE Ambassador to Pakistan Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Alzaabi hosted a reception, at a local hotel in Islamabad on Thursday, to mark the 51st National Day of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) that falls on December 2.
People form the diplomatic and journalistic community participated in the colorful reception where the UAE Ambassador received all the guests with great vigor.
“Indeed, I consider this event as Fifty First celebration of our friendly relations and cooperation, and I am confident that this bond of brotherhood will further enhance in various sectors and broader horizons.” Said the envoy in his speech while noting that the cheerful event was a clear evidence of affection and enthusiasm between the people and governments of the two brotherly countries.
Speaking at the event, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif felicitated the UAE nation and the Royal family on its 51st national day while mentioning that he personally had special Love and affection for UAE.
“We stood by each other. In times of distress in times of crisis. It’s a time-tested friendship which will survive all tests of time and it will be there forever,” he said.
Photo exhibition
A photo exhibition highlighting 51 years of friendship between the two states was also organized in Islamabad on Wednesday as a part of the string of events planned to celebrate the UAE national day.
Students of Sheikh Zayed International Academy, Islamabad, sang the national anthem of UAE and performed cultural dance to celebrate the occasion.
Hamad Obaid Al-Zaabi visited the exhibition and during his address he stated that the UAE national day was always a major occasion that meant a great deal to the citizens of his country.
He expressed his gratitude to all the students for participating in the program and making it memorable through their performance.
Chairman Senate’s felicitations to the UAE
Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani, on behalf of the Parliament, Government and people of Pakistan, warmly felicitated the leadership and people of UAE on the 51st National Day of the United Arab Emirates.
In his message, the Chairman Senate underlined that exemplary cooperation in international forums reflects the trust and respect between Pakistan and UAE. We need to focus on accelerating the exchange of high-level delegations and further enhancing trade activities to further strengthen these ties and create an atmosphere of brotherhood.
