US Embassy to soon resume visa services for Pakistani students
The United States Embassy has announced that it will resume student visa services in Pakistan from October 1 at US Embassy in Islamabad and the US Consulate General in Karachi.
“Student visas are a top priority for the U.S. Mission in Pakistan. We will make every effort to assist student visa applicants as timely and safely as possible” the official statement said.
The Embassy said that it spent the last few months “putting measures in place to ensure the health and safety of applicants and our employees during the COVID-19 pandemic.”
Applicants have been asked to wear masks and ensure social distancing.
Nearly 8,000 Pakistani students study at universities and colleges across the United States at any given time.
