Islamabad administration yet to start issuing COVID-19 vaccination cards
Social media has been buzzing with vaccination selfies but the most important proof is the COVID-19 vaccination card. The card is expected to become a mandatory travel document which would allow us to resume normal activities in post-pandemic the future.
As coronavirus vaccination for people over 65 years continues in Pakistan’s capital city, the Islamabad administration is yet to issue the COVID-19 vaccination card to the citizens.
District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Zaeem Zia agreed that the vaccination card is essential and said that the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) would soon introduce a portal to download the vaccination card.
The precious paper card contains vital information including the brand of vaccine you received and the dates you were immunized. Health experts claim this information is crucial to prove your vaccination status.
Sindh and Punjab provinces, however, have been issuing cards to the people who have been vaccinated against COVID-19. Hospitals in Rawalpindi are also reportedly issuing a card that carries the person’s name, vaccine, its batch number and date of vaccination.
Gilgit-Baltistan has issued a notification stating that only those tourists carrying a COVID-19 negative certificate shall be allowed to enter the region.
I have been informed through message from 1166 regardin my vaccination date which is 26.03.2021.My problem is that presently I am recovering from corona infection ,therefore I want to defer said date till ?17.04.2021.The miserable aspect of this vaccination campaign is that it is not possible to call 1166 as most of the time all lines are beasy without any response & response to message 1166 only entertains cnic#.?
Please keep calling 1166 to change date. Try at different times of the day.
I am trying to call 116 during different times of today but all in vain as most of the times all lines are beasy.
