Google, on Wednesday, confirmed the launch of its inaugural App Growth Lab in Pakistan, a four-month initiative, aimed at recognizing app developers, studios, and businesses with significant growth potential and providing them with opportunities to expedite and expand their operations.
The inauguration followed the launch of the Gaming Growth Lab in Pakistan last year, according to an official statement from.
“Following the launch of the Gaming Growth Lab in Pakistan last year, Google announced today that it has opened the first-ever App Growth Lab in Pakistan,” the search engine giant said in the statement.
The program will offer both intensive education and support phases, giving app developers the opportunity to learn from Google experts in various fields, including Ads, AdMob, Firebase, gTech, and Play, as well as from industry leaders.
“Today, we are proud to announce the launch of App Growth Lab to support up-and-coming local developers and help them expand their offerings to an international audience”, said Farhan S. Qureshi, Google’s Regional Director for Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.
Four Pillars of the Program
The App Growth Lab program is built upon four core pillars:
- Understanding the global app and gaming opportunity to create a comprehensive strategy for a company
- Developing an app or game product with a user-centric mindset and leveraging top-tier technology for long-term success
- Discovering tactics to excel during launch, set up profitable monetization models, and effectively utilize Google’s data tools to achieve measurable growth
- Acquiring knowledge on opening an app to the world through the use of market and platform diversification strategies.
“The Gaming Growth Lab Pakistan 2022 is indeed one of the most insightful programmes that we have attended so far in Game District.” Saad Hameed, CEO of Game District said.
The program will begin in June and run for a duration of four months. Organizations, app developers, and development studios who are interested may apply until May 22, 2023.
