Serena Hotels launch an 8 acre Park for the residents of Islamabad

A beautiful new park has been opened for the residents of Islamabad so they can enjoy a safe and pleasant space to exercise and relax. Those living near Aabpara and along the Embassy Road will truly cherish it as it located adjacent to the hotel.
This 8-acre long and wide park will add to Islamabad’s cherished green sights. This environment-friendly initiative has been taken by the CEO Serena Hotel Aziz Boolani and his team.
The park promises a pleasant experience to both the lone jogger and the picnicking family alike. It includes a jogging track, central walking path, multistage fountain, benches, park lights, flowering bushes, floral arches and shady trees.
Sheikh Ansar Aziz, Mayor of Islamabad and Aziz Boolani, CEO Serena Hotels inaugurated the new park, adjacent to the Hotel. Several diplomats and dignitaries attended the ceremony which opened the lush green space to the public. The guests also took part in the tree plantation activity.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Aziz Boolani, CEO Serena Hotels, said, “We strongly believe that it is not enough – as a company and as individuals – to simply avoid harming the environment. We must all come together to play an active role to protect the environment and conserve natural resources.”
“This Park is a project close to my heart in a time when climate change is ravaging the world. The saplings we have planted in the past and the ones we plant today will become trees that will provide oxygen for our children in the future, improve air quality, conserve water, preserve the soil and create a space for birds to flourish in the heart of Islamabad” Mr. Boolani said.
The mayor of Islamabad, Sheikh Ansar Aziz, appreciated the efforts of Serena Hotels in developing the park. “This park is another milestone which will add to the Islamabad Green Charter that adopts United Nations Urban Environmental Accords.”
The mayor also planted a tree in the park along with ambassadors, dignitaries and corporate heads.
He said that “With the cooperation of private partner organisations, best results of development can be achieved. Serena Park is an example of this cooperation.”

The mayor said that Serena Park, developed by the Serena Hotel, had added to the beauty of the area.
“This beautiful park is a source of recreational facilities for visitors. People will like its lush green lawns, jogging track, fountains, solar energy lights, trees, flowers and sitting areas,” he said.
Today, climate change and environmental degradation remains one of the greatest challenges to facing humanity. Serena Hotels have been taking steps to minimize their carbon footprint through an effective environmental management system, recycling as far as possible and championing eco-friendly practices within and outside its vicinity. “Through this project we want to reaffirm our conviction that we must not only preserve the earth and its resources, but also cultivate and grow them” Mr. Boolani maintained.
