NDMA thanked the people and the government of China for donating the oxygen concentrators
China has handed over 200 mobile oxygen concentrators to Pakistan amid fears of a fourth COVID-19 wave in the country.
The oxygen concentrators were handed over to chairman of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Lt Gen Akhtar Nawaz by China’s Ambassador to Pakistan Nong Rong at a ceremony.
The ceremony was attended by officials of the Chinese embassy, ministries of National Health Services and Foreign Affairs and NDMA.
The NDMA chairman, on behalf of the people and the government of Pakistan, thanked the people and the government of China for donating the oxygen concentrators.
Oxygen concentrators take in air from the room and filter out nitrogen. The process provides the higher amounts of oxygen needed for oxygen therapy. Concentrators are different from tanks or other containers supplying oxygen because they use electrical pumps to concentrate the continuous supply of oxygen that comes from the surrounding air.
