European Film Festival returns to Islamabad on May 15
The inaugural film event will begin in Islamabad on May 15, 2024, at the Pakistan National Council of Arts (PNCA) from 4:30 PM onwards.
Dr. Riina Kionka, Ambassador of the European Union to Pakistan, will inaugurate the film screenings and interactive audio-visual installations in Islamabad.
In Islamabad, luminaries such as playwright Bee Gul, actor Sarwat Gilani, and rising star Ali Junejo will lead discussions moderated by renowned presenter Omar Khalid Butt. Similar panels featuring prominent figures will take place in Peshawar, Quetta, and Gujrat, enriching the festival experience.
Moreover, attendees can participate in “Decoding European Cinema,” a masterclass led by the multifaceted Ali Junejo, aimed at aspiring and practicing filmmakers seeking to deepen their understanding of world cinema.
