US Chargé d’affaires Angela Aggeler visits Gwadar
United States chargé d’affaires Angela Aggeler on April 8 visited Gwadar – Pakistan’s key seaport and the jewel crown of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
She is the first U.S. official to visit Gwadar in 15 years. This was her second trip to Balochistan, according to the US embassy.
During her trip, Aggeler highlighted U.S.-Pakistan cooperation on maritime security, increased commercial and economic ties between the United States and Pakistan, and promoting prosperity across the region.
She thanked Pakistani officials for hosting me her Gwadar. “This visit serves as the latest example of U.S.-Pakistan cooperation on our shared interests, and I am hopeful it is the first of many to encourage and strengthen commercial and economic tie”
She also commended Pakistan and U.S. efforts to promote maritime security through naval exercises and professional exchanges.
