Fly across the Margalla Hills with Islamabad zipline

The zipline is 120 meters long and some 60 meters high

Do you wish to enjoy the aerial view of Islamabad’s Margalla Hills? Have you ever wondered what would be the feeling when flying across Margalla Hills? Well, now with the Islamabad zipline ride you can convert this imagination into reality.

Yes, you heard that right. The Islamabad Capital Territory now has a zip line, nestled near the foot of the scenic Margalla hills at the Shah Allah Ditta Caves.

The newly installed zip line is about 120 meters long and some 60 meters high. The entire equipment of the zip line service, such as harnesses, has been imported from the United States, according to the management of the zip line.

Tourists in Islamabad queuing to experience the adventure expressed their excitement at the new zip line. “We don’t have to travel to Swat or Kalam especially for the slide now,” a couple visiting the city for the first time said.

Another woman from Lahore called the experience the “best and most unforgettable experience of her life”.

The tourists expressed their satisfaction over the safety of the zipline as well.

Two famous ziplines in Pakistan are located in Swat and Cherat. The Sawat Zipline at the Malam Jabba ski resort is about 2,000 feet long and around 1,000 feet high. Its speed can reach 80 Km per hour. The other zipline in Cherat is 1.6 km long, with 0.8 km each way. This zip line runs 300 meters above the Maroba valley of Attock below. Besides adults, this zip line also allows kids as old as 5 years old to ride the line too.
