Air Exercise Aces Meet 2021-1 focused on counter-terrorism operations
The two-week long multinational air exercise “Aces Meet 2021-1” concluded at PAF base Mushaf on April 8.
Pakistan Air Force (PAF), Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) and the United States Air Force (USAF) participated in the exercise with their aircraft and delegations while Bahrain, Egypt and Jordan air forces attended the exercise as observers.
The Aces Meet 2021 exercise was aimed maximizing the combat readiness of all participants by providing them a realistic training environment for air combat and counterterrorism operations.
“PAF is happy to share its experiences and expertise in the field of counter-terrorism operations with RSAF and USAF” said AF base Mushaf Commander Air Commodore Ali Naeem Zahoor. The exercise offered a valuable mutual learning opportunity for all participants. “With the successful and meaningful conduct of exercise, we have consolidated our resolve, that we stand by each other as allies and friends” he said.
Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Maliki, Saudi military attaché Maj. Gen. Awad bin Abdullah Al-Zahrani, and US air attaché Colonel Wallin David also attended the ceremony.
Al-Maliki said that the exercise helped enhance the strength of the relationship between the Kingdom and Pakistan, especially in the military field.
Lt. Col. Fayeh bin Abdulrahman Al-Roqi, commander of the RSAF group participating in the exercise, said that the exercise was highly beneficial as it relied on simulating environments of real war.
