Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) said its flagship fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) service, PTCL Flash Fiber, has surpassed 900,000 subscribers, marking a significant expansion of its fiber broadband customer base.
The milestone comes as demand for reliable, high-speed internet continues to grow across Pakistan, driven by remote work, online education, digital entertainment, cloud-based applications, gaming, and the broader expansion of the country’s digital economy.
Flash Fiber network expands to 78 cities
PTCL Flash Fiber is currently available in 78 cities across Pakistan, according to the company. PTCL said its expanding fiber network is serving households, businesses, students, professionals, content creators, and gamers who increasingly depend on stable, high-speed internet connectivity.
The company said the subscriber milestone reflects continued customer demand for fiber broadband and PTCL’s investments in next-generation network infrastructure, service reliability, and customer experience.
PTCL has positioned the expansion of its fiber network as part of its broader effort to support digital connectivity in Pakistan and contribute to the government’s vision of a hyper-connected Digital Pakistan.
Ookla recognizes PTCL network performance
PTCL Flash Fiber’s network performance has also received recognition from Ookla, the internet testing and network intelligence company behind Speedtest.
The service was recognized with the distinctions of Best Fixed Network for Pakistan and Best ISP Gaming Experience. According to PTCL, the recognitions were based on Ookla’s evaluation of network performance and customer experience metrics included in its Speedtest Connectivity Report.
The company said the awards reflect performance in areas including network speeds, latency, and the overall digital experience delivered to customers.
