PTCL and Indus Cloud Forge Alliance to Launch Huawei Cloud Stack in Pakistan

In a move set to redefine the digital landscape of Pakistan, Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has officially entered into a strategic partnership agreement with Indus Cloud, a subsidiary of the Master Group.

The collaboration aims to deploy advanced Huawei Cloud Stack solutions, providing a significant boost to the country’s enterprise-grade digital infrastructure.

The agreement underscores PTCL’s commitment to expanding its data center and cloud portfolio. By integrating PTCL’s extensive nationwide network with Indus Cloud’s specialized platform capabilities, the partnership will offer secure, scalable, and locally hosted services specifically designed to meet the rigorous demands of the Pakistani market.

Strengthening Pakistan’s Digital Infrastructure

Through this collaboration, PTCL and Indus Cloud aim to make Huawei Cloud Stack services more widely available to enterprise and government clients. The initiative is designed to support secure, scalable, and locally hosted cloud solutions tailored to the evolving needs of businesses in Pakistan.

By combining PTCL’s nationwide telecom infrastructure and enterprise customer reach with Indus Cloud’s platform expertise, the partnership is expected to enhance the availability of high-performance cloud services in the local market.

Strengthening Local Cloud Infrastructure

The partnership arrives at a time when Pakistani enterprises and government bodies are increasingly seeking local alternatives to international cloud hosting to ensure better compliance, lower latency, and enhanced data security.

The agreement was formally signed by PTCL & Ufone 5G Chief Business Solutions Officer Asif Ahmad, and Chief Investment and Indus Cloud Limited Information Officer Rumman Arshad Dar.

The ceremony was also attended by PTCL & Ufone 5G Director Product Management Cloud & Digital, B2B Strategy & Product Management Muhammad Sharukh Malik, and Indus Cloud Limited Head of Enterprise Business Syeda Amina Ahmed.

Vision for Digital Transformation

Speaking on the occasion, Asif Ahmad emphasized the growing importance of cloud infrastructure in Pakistan’s digital economy, stating: “As organizations across Pakistan accelerate their digital transformation, the need for secure, scalable and locally hosted cloud infrastructure has become mission-critical.”
