Turkish TV star, better known as Ertugrul, receives hero’s welcome in Pakistan
Turkish star Engin Altan Düzyatan received a hero’s welcome in Pakistan after his arrival on the invitation of a private business company
The Ertugrul star arrived in Lahore, Pakistan, on a short visit on Thursday.
“#ErtugrulGazi (Diriliş Ertuğrul) lead actor/hero Mr. Engin Altan Düzyatan just landed at Lahore Airport for a short visit to Pakistan at the invitation of a private business company,” Pakistan embassy in Ankara tweeted.
The photos and videos of Engin Altan circulating on social media showed Turkish the actor receiving love and hero’s welcome from the officials and fans in Pakistan.
“Thank you very much, I can see I inspired you and I am very happy for this love,” Altan said, expresssing gratitude for Pakistani fans.
According to a report on the Urdu website of Turkish public broadcaster TRT, he will sign an agreement with the Lahore-based Chaudhary group of industries as a brand ambassador.
However, sadly due to a surge in coronavirus cases in Pakistan, the actor may not be able to meet his fans this time.
Ertugrul series, also dubbed as Turkish Game of Thrones, is the story before the beginning of the Ottoman Empire in 13th century Anatolia and the struggle of Ertugrul Gazi, the father of the empire’s first leader.
The series surpassed 10 million subscribers on its Urdu YouTube channel, and has around 15 million subscribers globally across all languages.
