Previously, on the behalf of the federal government, Sindh Governor Imran Ismail and Fawad Chaudhry announced that the celebrated comedian with renal and cardiovascular problems will be provided with all the required treatment facilities in regard of his condition.
Earlier, Umar Sharif himself had requested PM Imran Khan, via a video message, to provide assistance for his journey to travel abroad. Actress Reema Khan and her husband to facilitate the treatment
The comedy king will be treated at the George Washington University Hospital. He will be monitored by a team of eight skilled specialists including Dr. Tariq Shahab, husband of renowned actor Reema Khan. Reema had previously announced on social media that her husband had agreed to perform Umar Sharif’s surgery after he is flown to the US.
While speaking to the local media, Dr. Tariq Shahab said that Sharif was admitted to the Aga Khan University Hospital with congestive heart failure and was diagnosed with mitral valve regurgitation –a condition in which blood leaks backward instead of flowing out to the rest of the body.
According to recent reports, Sharif’s blood is normal and his kidneys have also been stabilized with the help of dialysis. Medical experts are hopeful that he will be able to travel to the US without any possible mishap.
