COVID-19 vaccine registration for 30+ Pakistanis to open on May 16

COVID-19 vaccination for 30 years and above to begin after Eid

Pakistan government has announced to open COVID-19 vaccine registration for citizens 30 years and above on May 16 and vaccination will begin soon after Eid.

“As vaccine supply continues to improve and vaccination capacity gets enhanced in all Federating units, we continue to expand the categories of those who are eligible to get vaccinated,” Minister Asad Umar said.

Pakistan is now opening vaccination for more age groups as the country has received around 11 million doses of the vaccine.

Currently, people who are 40 years and above can simply walk into any vaccination center to get vaccinated. However, registration by sending NIC number at 1166 is mandatory before visiting the vaccination center.

Vaccination centers across Pakistan will only close on the first two days of Eidul Fitr and open on the third day, according to NCOC.
