JazzCash partners with FAST National University to launch ‘Fintech Ecosystems’ course for Management Students

In a move set to strengthen the bridge between academia and industry, JazzCash has partnered with FAST National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences (NUCES) to introduce a new elective course titled ‘Fintech Ecosystems’.

This initiative will provide students at the Islamabad-based university’s School of Management with practical insights into the rapidly evolving fintech sector.

The 16-week course, designed to equip students with cutting-edge knowledge of digital financial systems, will be taught by members of JazzCash’s future leadership team. By offering direct exposure to industry experts, the course aims to prepare students to excel in a dynamic and competitive digital financial landscape.

Murtaza Ali, President of JazzCash, expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “This collaboration allows us to inspire and nurture the next generation of fintech leaders by integrating industry expertise into the classroom. We want to empower students with the tools and knowledge so that they can contribute towards the digital financial services industry.”

Dr. Sadia Nadeem, Dean of the Faculty of Management Sciences at FAST NUCES, highlighted the value of this collaboration, saying, “Partnering with JazzCash strengthens our commitment to providing market-driven education. This course will offer students a real-world understanding of the fintech sector, preparing them to contribute meaningfully to the global financial ecosystem.”

The comprehensive curriculum will cover key topics such as the local and regional fintech landscape, product lifecycles, and regulatory frameworks. In addition, students will gain an understanding of global fintech trends and explore their implications for Pakistan’s digital economy. The course’s hands-on approach ensures that students not only learn about fintech but also gain practical insights from professionals actively shaping the industry.

JazzCash, a leader in branchless banking and digital financial services, has a history of fostering industry-academia collaborations. The company recently partnered with the Suleman Dawood School of Business (SDSB) at LUMS to develop a case study for its academic and executive programs. The study focuses on JazzCash’s successful turnaround, illustrating how disruption and innovation can lead to business transformation.

These initiatives are part of JazzCash’s broader mission to strengthen the relationship between academia and the fintech industry, creating platforms for knowledge-sharing and professional development.
